About the Assigner

 Hello! My name is Smith McNeill and I am the assigner and founder of Foothills Soccer Officials Association! I am 23 and graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelors Degree in History Multidisciplinary Education in May of 2023!  One of my hobbies is cycling and I race with App State Cycling on the road team. I have been involved in soccer for over 20 years, participating as a player for 18 years playing with Wings of Wilkes in both recreational and classic soccer, and at my Middle/High School Millers Creek Christian School; I have been a referee for 9 years; and have been an assigner for 5 years. I have officiated from as young as 7 years old, all the way up into the college and even adult level, and I have loved every second of it. I'm excited to be assigning and looking forward to a great season!
